Day 1 ) Arrival Yangon
Our guide will meet you at Yangon international Airport. Then, transfer to your hotel for check-in. In the afternoon, start your sightseeing with Yangon city center, such as Sule Pagoda, City hall, independence monument etc, where you can see the bustling life of the city. Then, drive to Bogyoke Market ( Scott Market ) where various types of Myanmar handicrafts, gems & jewelry and souvenirs are available to buy. Enjoy sunset at Shwedagon Pagoda, the most magnificent and spectacular religious edifice built over 2,500 years ago. The ways of life of Buddhists such as praying, offering water, candles, flowers, etc can be observed. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2) Yangon - Bagan
After breakfast, transfer to airport for domestic flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, sightseeing starts with the bustling Nyaung Oo local market where daily life of local people can be observed. Continue to Shwezigon Pagoda, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century, Wetkyi-Inn Gubyauk Gyi, a temple with exquisite murals of Jataka scenes, and Ananda Temple with four huge standing Buddha images and numerous seated figures in niches around the galleried interior. Then, check-in to your hotel.
In the afternoon, visit lacquer-ware workshop to learn about the fascinating technique of this art. Continue your tour by visiting Shwegugyi Temple also known as "Nandaw Oo Paya" which offers spectacular views from its upper terrace; Bagan’s most massive shrine, Damayangyi Temple extending approximately 255 feet on each of its four sides ; Thatbyinnyu Pagoda, the tallest in Bagan at almost 200 ft. End your tour at the terrace of the ShwesandawPagoda which is a great spot to view the sunset of Bagan. Stay overnight at the hotel in Bagan.
Day 3) Bagan – Mt. Popa – Mandalay by car
Breakfast at hotel. This morning, drive out of Bagan to visit Mount Popa ( 1: 30 hrs drive ), an extinct Volcano, known to be home of Myanmar's intriguing 37 ' nats ' ( Spirits ) and major pilgrimage destination . Climb up 777 steps to reach the top of Mt. Popa cliff and enjoy panoramic view. Come down and proceed to Mandalay. Check in at the hotel and leisure time. Overnight in Mandalay.
Day 4) Sightseeing in Mandalay
After breakfast at the hotel, your sightseeing starts with visit to Amarapura which means City of Immortality founded in 1783 AD. Visit Mahagandaryone monastery the largest teaching monastery in Myanmar. Daily at around 10:30 a.m. about 700 monks queue up for their last meal on this day. Proceed to 1.2 km long U Bein teak Bridge constructed over 200 years ago by the mayor U Bein. You can have leisurely walk on the bridge across Taung- ta-man lake that will give you an enchanting experience. Stopover at traditional silk & cotton weaving workshops. Then, continue your tour by visiting Maharmuni Buddha Image the most ancient Buddha image cast in bronze in Myanmar and head your way to the handicraft workshops such as bronze sculpture, marble stone carving and gold leaves workshops.
Late afternoon, visit Mya Nan San Kyaw Shwe Nandaw (The Royal Palace), representing Myanmar Sovereignty and independence. Shwenandaw Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings; Kuthodaw Pagoda, often called the world’s largest book (a set of 729 huge stone slabs on which the Buddhist scriptures are inscribed). Proceed to Mandalay Hill to enjoy a spectacular sun-set view over the city plains. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5 ) Mandalay-Mingun-Inwa- Sagaing-Mandalay
After breakfast at hotel, drive to jetty for 45 minutes boat trip to Mingun. Sightseeing around Mingun includes: 50 m high unfinished Mingun Pagoda, biggest ringing Mingun bell with the weight of 90 tons and Myatheintan Pagoda. Return to Mandalay.
Then, visit Innwa ( Ava ), a historical capital founded by King Thado Minbya in 1364. Extended visit will be made to Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery which is a fine example of Myanmar masonry art and architecture, Bargayar Monastery and Nan Myint Watch tower.
Tour continues to picturesque Sagaing Hills, 21 km south-east of Mandalay and on west bank of Ayeyarwaddy River. Sagaing Hills is a retreat for Buddhist devotees with numerous pagodas and monasteries. Visit Kaungmudaw Pagoda, Uminthonze Cave Temple and , Soon U Ponnya Shin Phaya, built in 1312.Overnight at Hotel in Mandalay.
Day 6 ) Mandalay- Heho – Pindaya - Inle Lake
After breakfast, you will be transferred to airport for flight to Heho. Then, drive about one hour to the small quiet town Pindaya enjoying the great scenic beauty of the countryside along the road to Pindaya. Visit Pindaya Caves ( Shwe-umin or Golden Cave ), well-known for its Buddha statues carved out of limestone. Then, a short stop at over 250 years old Banyan trees and Pindaya lake. Proceed to bamboo umbrella making factory, papermaking factory. Drive to Nyaung Shwe where Inle Lake is situated. Then, transfer to hotel in the lake by boat for check-in.Overnight at Hotel.
Day 7 ) Inle Lake-Heho-Yangon
After breakfast, tour excursion on the lake starts : Floating gardens, leg rowers fishing in the lake, Nga-phae -chaung Monastery, blacksmith, silver smith, silk and cotton weaving factories, cheroot Industry and Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda - the most venerable pagoda on the lake.
Return to hotel for check-out. Transfer to Heho Airport for flight back to Yangon.Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
Day 8 ) Departure Yangon
After breakfast, morning free at leisure. In the late afternoon, transfer to Yangon Int’l airport for departure.
