Day 1) Arrival Yangon
Arrive at Yangon Airport- Welcome by our tour guide, transfer to hotel and start Yangon sight-seeing; Sule Pagoda located at the centre of Yangon down-town area, Botahtaung Pagoda on the bank of Yangon River, Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, a huge reclining Buddha statue, proceed to Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the most famous religious monuments in the world and watch sunset there. Then, have dinner at Karaweik Palace Restaurant & watch traditional dances. Stay overnight at hotel in Yangon.
Day 2) Yangon - Mandalay sightseeing
In the morning, fly from Yangon to Mandalay. On arrival to Tada-Oo International Airport, our car will wait for you at the airport to transfer to your hotel. On the way, you can visit the ancient city of Amarapura, 11 km south of Mandalay highlighting Bagaya Monastery with a famous collection of Buddha images (or) Maha Gandayon Monastery. Then proceed to 1.2 km long U Bein Wooden Bridge, built since 1782 with over 1700 huge teak pillars. The clients can have leisurely walk on the 1.2 Km long bridge. And then continue to famous Maha Myat Muni Pagoda, one of the most sacred Buddha Image in Mandalay. Continue to your hotel. Check-in at hotel.
Afternoon sightseeing begins with Shwenandaw Kyaung ( Golden Palace Monastery), noted for its exquisite wood carvings; Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the World’s Biggest Book for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures. Tour continues to Mandalay Hill, a vantage point for a panoramic view of the city and a spectacular sunset view.
It is worthy to have a stroll up the hill enjoying panoramic views from different location. Return can be made by car as there is also a car track by the base of elevator just before the platform. Overnight atthe hotel in Mandalay.
Day 3) Mandalay - Mingun – Ava – Sagaing – Mandalay
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to jetty for boat trip along the Ayeyawaddy River to Mingun. Places to visit at Mingun : Mingun Pagoda: the biggest unfinished 50 m high pagoda, Mingun bell: the biggest ringing bell of 90 tons and Mya Thein Tan pagoda in outstanding shape. Then, return by boat to Mandalay.
In the afternoon, visit to Inwa (Ava), a historical capital founded by King Thado Minbya in 1364. Extended visit will be made to Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery which is a fine example of Myanmar masonry art and architecture, Mai-nu Brick Monastery and old watch tower.
Tour continues to picturesque Sagaing Hills, 21 km south-east of Mandalay and west bank of Ayeyarwaddy River. Sagaing Hills is a retreat for Buddhist devotees with numerous pagodas and monasteries. Overnight atthe hotel in Mandalay.
Day 4) Mandalay – Yangon
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to the airport for flight back to Yangon. After lunch, visit to Bogyoke Market( Scott Market ) where you can get a wide range of Myanmar handicraft, jewelries, fabrics, lacquer wares and so on. Drive back to hotel to check out; transfer to Yangon airport for international flight from Myanmar.
