Day 1 ) Arrival Yangon
Our guide will meet you at Yangon international Airport. Then, transfer to your hotel for check-in. In the afternoon, start your sightseeing with Yangon city center, such as Sule Pagoda, City hall, independence monument etc, where you can see the bustling life of the city. Then, drive to Bogyoke Market ( Scott Market ) where various types of Myanmar handicrafts, gems & jewelry and souvenirs are available to buy. Enjoy sunset at the Shwedagon Pagoda, the most magnificent and spectacular religious edifice built over 2,500 years ago. The ways of life of Buddhists such as praying, offering water, candles, flowers, etc. can be observed. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2) Yangon - Bagan
After breakfast, transfer to airport for domestic flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel and sight -seeing starts with the busy Nyaung Oo local market where daily life of local people can be observed. Continue to Shwezigon Pagoda,built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century, Gubyauk Gyi ( Wet Kyi Inn ), a temple with exquisite murals of Jataka scenes, and Ananda Templeknown for its finest artisticvalue. Then visit Htilominlo Pagoda.
After lunch, visit lacquer ware workshop to learn about the fascinating technique of this art. Visit the Thatbyinnyu Pagoda, the highest temple in Bagan constructed by King Alaung Sithu and ShwegugyiTemple also known as "Nandaw Oo Paya" built by King Alaung Sithu in 1140 A.D. Sunset for Buphaya. Stay overnight at Hotel in Bagan.
Day 3) Bagan – Mt. Popa – Bagan
Breakfast at hotel. This morning, drive out of Bagan to visit Mount Popa ( 1:30 hrs drive ), an extinct Volcano, known to be home of Myanmar's intriguing 37 ' nats ' ( Spirits ) and major pilgrimage destination. Climb up 777 steps to reach the top of Mt. Popa cliff and enjoy panoramic view. Come down and return to Bagan.
In the afternoon, visit Manuha Temple, built in Mon Style in 1095, Nan Phaya Temple, a unique sandstone monument, said to have been the palace of King Manuha and Myingaba Gu Byaukgyi Temple, noted for its ancient mural paintings under the protection of UNESCO and Dhamayazika stupa, one of the finest expression of Bagan architectural of a pentagonal base. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 4) Sightseeing in Mandalay
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Bagan Airport for flight to Mandalay . Upon arrival at Tada-Oo International Airport, transfer to Mandalay. En route, visit Amarapura which means City of Immortality founded in 1783 AD. Visit Mahagandaryone monastery , one of the most illustrious learning centers of Buddhist scripture for the monks. Proceed to 1.2 km long U Bein teakwood Bridge constructed around 1850 with 1086 pillars. Have a leisurely walk on the bridge across Taung- tha-man lake that will give you an enchanting experience.
Then, continue your tour by visiting Maharmuni BuddhaImage the most ancient Buddha image cast in bronze in Myanmar and head your way to the handicraft workshops such as bronze sculpture, marble stone carving and gold leaves workshops.
Afternoon sight-seeing starts with Mya Nan San Kyaw Palace which represents Myanmar Sovereignty and independence. Visit Shwenandaw Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings; Kuthodaw Pagoda, often called the world’s largest book (a set of 729 huge stone slabs on which the Buddhist scriptures are inscribed). Finish the tour by visiting Mandalay Hill, the natural watch-tower for the visitors to watch sunrise or sunset over the city plains. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5 ) Mandalay- Heho – Pindaya – Taunggyi
After breakfast, you will be transferred to airport for flight to Heho. Then, drive about one hour to the small quiet town Pindaya enjoying the great scenic beauty of the countryside along the road to Pindaya. Visit Pindaya Caves ( Shwe-umin or Golden Cave ), well-known for its Buddha statues carved out of limestone. Then, a short stop at over 250 years old Banyan trees and Pindaya lake. Proceed to bamboo umbrella making factory, papermaking factory. Drive to Taunggyi. Overnight at hotel in Taunggyi.
Day 6 ) Taunggyi – Kakku - Inle Lake
After breakfast, explore the Taunggyi Myoma Market and proceed to Mwaytaw Kakku Pagoda, a unique temple complex of more than 2500 stupas passing many Pa-O villages dotted on both side of the way. Through these villages, the life styles and unspoiled culture of Pa-O people could be explored. Visit ancient Kakku Buddhist Stupas aligned in parallel rows covering on an area of nearly one square kilometer. On the way, visit Shwe Yan Pyay Pagoda .Then, drive to Nyaung Shwe where the Inle Lake is situated. Proceed by boat to hotel in the lake.
Stay overnight at hotel in Inle.
Day 7 ) Inle Lake-Heho-Yangon
After breakfast, tour excursion on the lake starts : Floating gardens, Nga-phae -chaung Monastery, Phaung Daw OoPagoda - the most venerable pagoda on the lake, blacksmith, silk and cotton weaving factories, silver smith, cheroot Industry and boat making factory etc, Leg-rowers are the most famous attraction in the region,
Return to hotel for check-out. Transfer to Heho Airport for flight back to Yangon. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
Day 8 ) Departure Yangon
After breakfast, morning free at leisure until the time to check-out and transfer to Yangon Int’l airport for departure.
