Duration : 5 Days/ 4 Nights Day 1 ). Arrival Yangon
Our guide will meet you at Yangon International Airport. Then, transfer to your hotel for check-in. In the afternoon, start your sightseeing with Yangon city center, such as Sule Pagoda, City hall, Maha Bandoola Garden with Independence monument, where you can see the bustling life of the city. Then, drive to Kandawgyi (Royal) Lake, for photo stop. Enjoy sunset at Shwedagon Pagoda, the most magnificent and spectacular religious edifice built over 2,500 years ago. The ways of life of Buddhists such as praying, offering water, candles, flowers, etc can be observed. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
Day 2). Yangon - Bagan
After breakfast, transfer to airport for domestic flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel and sightseeing starts with the busy Nyaung Oo local market where daily life of local people can be observed. Continue to Shwezigon Pagoda, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century, Wetkyi-InnGubyauk Gyi, a temple with exquisite murals of Jataka scenes, and Htilominlo Pagoda well-known for its plaster carvings. Check in to your hotel.
In the afternoon, visit lacquer-ware workshop to learn about the fascinating technique of this art. Then, Ananda Temple with four huge standing Buddha images and numerous seated figures in niches around the galleried interior the Thatbyinnyu Pagoda, the highest temple in Bagan constructed by King Alaung Sithu and ShwegugyiTemple also known as "Nandaw Oo Paya" built by King Alaung Sithu in 1140 A.D. Sunset for Buphaya, a Pyu style pagoda on the bank of Majestic Ayeyarwaddy river. Stay overnight at hotel in Bagan.
Day 3). Bagan – Mt. Popa – Salay – Bagan
Breakfast at hotel. This morning, drive out of Bagan to visit Mount Popa ( 1:30 hrs drive ), an extinct Volcano, known to be home of Myanmar's intriguing 37 ' nats ' ( Spirits ) and major pilgrimage destination . Climb up 777 steps to reach the top of Mt. Popa cliff and enjoy panoramic view.
In the afternoon, drive to Salay, located on the eastern bank of Ayeyarwaddy River and visit Yoke Sone Monastery, which is the oldest surviving wooden monastery built on 154 teak posts with beautiful wood carvings decorating the outer walls. Continue to Payathonzu, a complex of three brick shrines with mural paintings from the Bagan period, and see Man Paya - a large lacquer Buddha image, said to date from the 13th century. Return to Bagan and stay overnight at hotel in Bagan.
Day 4) Bagan - Yangon
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Bagan Airport for flight back to Yangon. Arrive at Yangon Airport and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, visit to Bogyoke ( Scott ) Market ( closed on Mondays & Public Holidays) and it has the largest selection of Myanmar handicrafts, gems and jewelries. Visit to the fourth largest colossal reclining Buddha Image at Chaukhtatkyi Pagoda. Then, visit Botahtaung Pagoda, close to the Yangon Jetty. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
Day 5) Departure Yangon
Breakfast at hotel. Leisure time until the time to check out and transfer to Yangon Airport for your departure flight.
